Share

A supermarket giant is to cater for well-endowed men by stocking extra large condoms.

The new condoms - which are 10mm longer than the average 205mm version and 1mm wider - will go on sale in Tesco branches across the UK from tomorrow.

A store spokeswoman said the launch of the Durex Extra Large range follows "overwhelming consumer demand".

Healthcare buyer Nicola Evans added: "These new condoms are designed to allow larger men more comfort than ever before.

"We know through customer research that there has been a growing demand for an extra large condom that is easily available in high street pharmacies.

"In the last year there have been more than 200 calls from customers requesting the availability of an extra large condom."

The most popular ranges of condoms at the supermarket are currently Durex Fetherlite and Durex Extra Safe.

:: Durex Extra Large condoms will cost £9.53 for a packet of 12 and will be sold exclusively at 400 Tesco stores.

Phone lost 4 days at sea found, recharged & returned

TAIPEI (Reuters) - A mobile phone lost at sea for four days washed up in perfect condition in Taiwan after drifting 37 km (23 miles) and was discovered by a park lifeguard who tracked down the shocked owner to return it, the finder said on Friday.

Yu Hsin-leh of Taipei lost the phone on July 24 while snorkeling near the Taiwan port city of Keelung, Taiwan's United Daily News reported.

On Monday, it turned up in Longdong Bay Park on the island's northeasternmost cape after floating past numerous towns and rocky outcroppings.

A small water-resistant case had protected the phone at sea, said park lifeguard Lin Huan-chuan, who found it.

Lin said he recharged the battery and called Yu's wife by finding her in the phone's list of saved numbers.

"All the phone's functions were normal," Lin said. "The owner was extremely surprised as he figured he had lost it for good."

Two-headed cow born in Colombia

Share
This is Jenifer, a cow born with two heads but only one brain. The weight of the double head means Jenifer cannot stand without help, so the farmer has built a hammock to support her.

Jenifer was born last Friday at a farm in Rivera, 150 miles from Bogota. Farmer Marino Cabrera, claims he has never seen anything like it in 30 years as a cattle breeder.

The calf's four-year-old mother had already gave birth to a normal and healthy calf. "She's a very cute thing, beautiful,
I see her as a pretty thing that God sent, he sent her as she is," Rosario Leyva, the wife of the farm's caretaker said.

The condition, known as Polycephaly, is incredibly rare, but can occur in both animals and humans.

Space Shuttle Endeavour Glides Home After Successful Mission

Share

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Space shuttle Endeavour and its crew of seven astronauts ended a 16-day journey of more than 6.5 million miles with a 10:48 a.m. EDT landing Friday at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. During the flight, Endeavour delivered the final piece of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory and a new crew member to the International Space Station.

Endeavour's mission included five spacewalks and installation of two platforms outside the Japanese module. One platform remained on the station and serves as a type of porch for experiments that require direct exposure to space. The other was an experiment storage pallet that returned aboard the shuttle. During the mission, Kibo's robotic arm transferred three experiments from the palette to the platform. The station now is 83 percent complete and has a mass of more than 685,000 pounds.

Mark Polansky commanded the flight and was joined by Pilot Doug Hurley and Mission Specialists Christopher Cassidy, Tom Marshburn, Dave Wolf, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Julie Payette and Tim Kopra. Kopra remained aboard the station, replacing Flight Engineer and Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata, who returned to Earth on Endeavour after more than four months on the station.

When Endeavour's seven astronauts joined the six resident Expedition 20 crew members aboard the space station, a record number of 13 people were aboard the orbiting laboratory. All five partner agencies were represented.

A welcome ceremony for the crew's return to Houston will be held at Ellington Field's NASA Hangar 990 at 5 p.m. EDT on Saturday, Aug. 1. The public is invited to attend. The crew's return will be broadcast on NASA Television's video file Monday.

With Endeavor and its crew safely home, the stage is set for the launch of STS-128, which is targeted for Aug. 25. Discovery's 13-day flight will deliver a new crew member and 33,000 pounds of equipment to the station. The equipment includes science and storage racks, a freezer to store research samples, a new sleeping compartment and the COLBERT treadmill.
